Brett Favre vs. Jenn Sterger

As I watched my morning ESPN Sportscenter this morning, like I’ve done every morning since the 5th grade, I noticed something that I’ve never noticed before.  What is the sports world’s obsession with athlete’s personal relationships?  When I used to watch ESPN, I saw sports highlights, interviews, and top plays of the previous night, but now Sportscenter has been highjacked by the relationship woahs of sports athletes, whether it’s Tony Parker and Eva Longoria’s divorce, Brett Favre and Jenn Sterger’s battle to see who’s more sleezy, or David Beckham and Posh Spice’s incredibly good looking children, Sportscenter has been taken over by the relationship updates of athletes.  I suppose this is what happens when superstar athletes become romantically involved with people who are already famous, but I don’t want to see this on a show that is dedicated to sports news.
